Anadolu University Faculty of Science was established in 1973, and in 1982, it was affiliated with the Anadolu University Rectorate as the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Upon the transfer of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences to Eskişehir Osmangazi University in 1993, a new Faculty of Science and a new Department of Biology under this faculty were established; education and training started with the enrollment of first students in the 1994-1995 academic year. The Department of Biology switched to a credit system in the 1994-1995 academic year, and an English preparatory class was opened in the 1998-1999 academic year. In 2001, the Department of Biology moved to a new Science Faculty building, covering a 24000 m2 area, and as of the same year, it started accepting students for the II. Major, Minor, and Intra-University Transfer programs. Since the 2005-2006 academic year, ECTS credits have been used, and our University has been awarded the 2011-2014 ECTS label by the European Commission. Afterward, the Faculty of Science was connected to the newly established Eskişehir Technical University on May 18, 2018.
